The first of three episodes following our narrowboat adventures on the Peak Forest Canal.
In this episode we begin our journey by Benjamin Outram's towering Marple Aqueduct, standing in the shadow of the even taller railway viaduct. We climb the sixteen locks of the Marple flight before heading down the Upper Peak Forest Canal towards New Mills.
Colin explores the incredible local landmarks like the Millennium Walkway and Torrs Hydro in New Mills, and seeks out some peace and quiet walking along the Goyt Way. He also causes mayhem at Matlow's Swizzle Factory and ends the day with a sugar rush!
