Narrowboat On The Road - Moving our New Build Narrowboat by Lorry.
With the boat's steel shell (hull) now completed, our new narrowboat, Silver Fox, is taken by lorry across Liverpool to be fitted out at Bickerstaffe Boats. We managed to record an awesome timelapse from the boat's perspective as it leaves the sheds at Aintree, gets (carefully) loaded onto the lorry, is driven across Liverpool, before being unloaded and manoeuvred into position at Bickerstaffe.

Buying a New Build Narrowboat - Questions & Answers
Since we started touring the UK looking for our next narrowboat earlier in 2018, we've seen dozens of new and used boats. We've also met a good number of boat builders, visited the main brokerages, and regularly scoured the Internet searching for private boat sales. It's been quite an experience! In this vlog, we answer some of the many questions we've been asked by YouTube viewers and social media followers. Don't forget to comment, like and subscribe for free to get notifie

Building Our New Narrowboat - An Update!
Our narrowboat shell is almost complete, so we wanted to give you an update on how it's going. The shell will be moving from Aintree Boats in Liverpool, a few miles up to Bickerstaffe Boats this weekend, ready for its fit-out. Learning New Narrowboat Skills - RYA Helmsman Training
With our new narrowboat, Silver Fox, taking shape over in Liverpool, we took a two-day RYA Helmsman course at bearBOATING in Apperley, near Bradford, to brush up on our narrowboat handling skills. We were lucky to get it done because stretches of the canal from the Bingley Five Rise all the way down through to Leeds were closed shortly after due to the water shortage on the Leeds & Liverpool Canal.

Check Out Our Brand New Narrowboat!
After three months of road trips across the length and breadth of the United Kingdom, we've found our perfect new narrowboat. We've seen over sixty narrowboats, visited about twenty boat builders and brokers, scoured the Internet and magazine classifieds, and spoken to literally hundreds of boat owners. This is a landmark moment for us. From today the adventure shifts up a gear as we take a step closer to life on the canal.

Visiting Swan Boats in Liverpool
One of my favourite visits so far was our trip to see Ian, Mark and Gary at Swan Boats in Liverpool. We'd never planned to go see them until Gary messaged me on Twitter saying that Ian (Kinny) was keen for us to go across and vlog about his third solo narrowboat project. After a few messages, and the promise of cake, we drove over the Pennines to see the adorable Kinny and the lads. It was the best laugh I've had in ages! Finding his workshop was the first task of the day. Ou

Deciding on a New Build Narrowboat - Visiting Swan Boats in Liverpool
In our final road-trip, we visit Ian, Mark, and Gary at Swan Boats in Liverpool. This was a last-minute trip, only organised a couple of days before we went. Ian (Nicknamed 'Kinny') is one of the friendliest, chattiest guys we've ever met. He looks about half his actual age, but him and his team know a great deal about building attractive, modern looking, and good value for money narrowboats. After seeing so many new and used boats over the last three months, we've decided to
