The Gimbal Tumble

We bought a DJI Osmo Mobile 2 Gimbal, and took it out for a walk along the Calder & Hebble to try it out. Shaun literally 'fell' for it!

A stroll by the Calder & Hebble, testing the Osmo. It was all going so well...

You know when you go out with a plan, but it ends completely differently. Today was that day.

I bought the gimbal a few days ago after (spending too many hours) researching them. The DJI Osmo Mobile 2 seemed to fit our needs, so I placed the order and it arrived the next day (Thank you Apple!).

I set it up (after charging for a couple of hours), downloaded the app, then spent a frustrating couple of hours trying to balance my iPhone X on it. (It's actually easier than I make it sound).

The weather was fantastic, and so we took the Osmo out on our stroll along the Calder & Hebble to catch us talking about the gimbal, our vlog, and our forthcoming visit to the Crick Boat Show.

I was really impressed with it (as you can see from the vlog), and we were testing the face-tracking feature that allows the Osmo to literally keep the camera focussed on a point, when Shaun took a tumble.

Now you'll have to forgive me, but when he fell to the floor I didn't offer to help him. I didn't even show an ounce of concern. I just laughed. I'm sorry! He got back to his feet and saw the funny side, and the gimbal did it's job by staying focussed on my face (sorry Shaun).
