

Narrowboat Murder! Horror on the Trent & Mersey Canal.
We inadvertently moor in the exact spot where the narrowboat murder of Christina Collins took place. There's horror on the Trent & Mersey Canal when Colin uncovers not just one, but several murders by the Rugeley Poisoner within the area we're moored at Rugeley on the Trent & Mersey Canal. We continue north towards Stone, passing the site of the Colwich Train crash of 1986, as we take in the views of Cannock Chase and the Saltmarsh Pasturefields.


Canal Narrowboat in a TIGHT SQUEEZE up the Junction!
We leave Kings Orchard Marina on the Coventry canal and find ourselves on the Trent & Mersey Canal with our narrowboat in a tight squeeze up the junction! After leaving our mooring near Polesworth we head to Lichfield and on to Fradley Junction where we take a left towards the Potteries. We squeeze our narrowboat through the old Armitage Tunnel (Plumb Pudding Tunnel) with no space at either side for error! We pass the Armitage Shanks factory where Colin can't help but revert

It was coming at us head-on! A speeding narrowboat aiming straight for us as we approached a bridge. Can Shaun avoid a collision? We leave Braunston and tackle Hillmorton Locks, the busiest on the canal network! Heading for Rugby on the Oxford Canal we get caught up in bad weather and end up at Hawkesbury Junction on the Coventry Canal where we have to investigate bags of missing coal. We leave you near Nuneaton as we continue our journey north.
